About Me

I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Regina specializing in K-5 education. I have always loved working around children and have a deep appreciation for the learning process. I was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK where I attended Ecole Victoria School in French immersion until Grade 8 and Walter Murray Collegiate until graduation.

My first real teaching experience came when I was 16. My class schedule was such that I had every second afternoon off and since no one else was avaiable, I got bored being by myself after a while. So I made a visit to my elementary school to say “hi” to my former teachers and before I knew it, I was volunteering as a teacher’s aide every other afternoon. By the end of the semester, I had made my decision to enter the field of education.

Those close to me know I tend to be a bit of a workoholic. I am very dedicated to what I do, no matter the task. I have worked for close to 4 years at a Wendy’s in Saskatoon and continue stay dedicated to giving a stong effort, for the benefit of the business and myself. I do my best to take pride in everything I do.

I am also an avid gamer. Though I used to see this as unprofessional and something to keep seperate from my work, I now see that being a gamer offers a host of benefits through being able to connect with students and having novel ideas on ways to improve lessons and have some fun in the classroom.
